My Camelback Mountain End to End Hike

I have always wanted to hike Camelback from end to end.  It's not that long really, but a bit of a logistical nightmare for one person.  Without spotting a car or biking back, it's a long way back to where you started.  This morning, my wife dropped me off on the East side of the mountain so I could go hike end to end and finish by walking home.  Most people do either one of the two out and back trails there, Echo Canyon being the most popular.  Today, I hiked Camelback from the Cholla Trail to the top then exiting via the Summit Trail (Echo Canyon).  I found my new Monday workout!  However, I think it would be best for me to start on the other side.  There are some very steep downhills and I would rather hike up those and save my knees a few more years.

An Unexpected Fireworks Display

While I was prepping dinner last night, I heard fireworks going off so I grabbed my wife and headed out to watch them together.  We stood outside and enjoyed them for a bit then she said, "Wow, they're beautiful ... I hope they don't wake Luna up".  Right, now I'm thinking about that.

We went back inside but, stilling hearing them, I had and idea so I grabbed my camera to take some experimental photos.  They only lasted for another two minutes at that point.  These are not exactly what I was going for but I'll take 'em.
